“ Hidden gem in Union Square area. From outside, the restaurant doesn’t tell you much. Their menu is pretty short, BUT everything they serve is prepared to perfection! The lamb riblets appetizer is literately melting in your mouth! Incredible flavor! Both the short ribs and the crusted snapper main dishes, are to go back for! Very, very tasty! The baklava dessert exceeded our expectations also! Great collection of wines. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for our delicious dinner! We will be back! ”
“ Highly recommend this place if you are in San Francisco and want to have an amazing dining experience of Tunisian food in a cozy but chic setting. While the food was excellent in presentation, flavors and taste, we savored the personal attention from the proprietor chef, explaining the dishes and how to enjoy them properly. My son commented on the Baklava (pictured), “this completely changed my thinking about Baklava”. You have to go and try it. ”
“ This place is absolutely fantastic . We tried the chicken tagine and the Chreime which were both delicious. They have marsawa on the drinks menu which looked very interesting- made with hibiscus liquor and did not disappoint at all ! As a dessert person I had to try both the baklava and the orange blossom creme brulee and even though I know I have a second stomach for desserts , I ate way more than I could have simply because they were mouthwateringly good. The ambience is amazing, the owner is great, and food is unbeatable. Definitely worth the price . Would come back 1000/1000 ”
“ Amazing service! Great way to be introduced to Tunisian food. Best Baklava in SF by far. ”
“ This restaurant is a gem among many well-known, chain eateries. La Marsa’s menu blends Tunisian flavors with impeccable presentation and flavor. The lamb and braised short rib were nothing short of perfection. ”
“ I am Tunisian and this is by far the best Tunisian food experience overseas. Central location, cozy restaurant, fun staff, cool chill out music. Just PERFECT! ”
“ I randomly walked in here while between meetings, and I was instantly greeted by the owner. The atmosphere is small and cozy, with music that is not too loud and guests that are clearly enjoying their food and wine. I'd continue to elaborate, but it's a must-try-for-yourself type of place. For your own benefit, please get the short rib, you will not be disappointed! ”
“ The brunch we had was exquisite, excellent grab Benedict, veggie eggs plate with squash and zucchini, crepe caramel//Nutella special as recommended by the Chef, we def are coming back. ”
